RentSquire helps home owners list their homes, book showings and collect rental applications. This page explains what we collect and what we do with it.
What we collect
- When you book a showing: your name, phone number, optional email, and what you tell us about your household and move-in date.
- When you apply: the answers on the application form, including income, employment, rental history and contact details of your current landlord.
- Documents you upload: such as your credit report, pay stubs, bank statements and photo ID.
- From owners: the email address used to sign in and the listing details.
Visits
When you open a page we record the page, the site or link you came from, your browser and device type, language and time zone, your IP address and the approximate location it implies (city level), and actions such as opening the booking form. A first-party cookie tells repeat visits apart. We use this to count views and to show owners which places bring renters; it is never sold or used for advertising.
How we use it
- To schedule showings and send you confirmations and reminders by text message and email.
- To share your application and documents with the owner of the home you applied for, and no one else.
- We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
Text messages
By booking a showing or applying, you agree to receive text messages about that showing or application. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving texts.
How we protect it
Uploaded documents are encrypted when stored and are visible only to the owner of the listing. Documents are deleted automatically 30 days after the owner approves or declines an application, and in any case within 90 days.
Your choices
You can ask us to delete your information at any time using the contact form on our home page.
